Alexa’s Artwork

Alexa has been on a creative streak lately. Every time I turn around she’s making something new. Here are a few of her creations.

Alexa drew our backyard on this piece of wood she found in the garage. (Our garage is full of wood from various projects. )

Alexa created a girl on our banister. One day I came around the corner and there she was! I can’t seem to take her down.

This is Jessica and Alexa’s artwork during General Conference. We spent the weekend with Ritchie and Lindsay!

Alexa making some art out of decorative sand. She used rose petals to make the wings of the butterfly. She is much more creative than I am.

These are 2 long pictures Alexa drew after watching “Ramona and Beezus” She wanted to draw the longest picture. They hung on our wall for about 3 months.

Our Spring Yard Project

This spring we decided to take out our bullrock along the edges of our flower beds and replace them with large rocks, Davis built 3 raised garden boxes, we added flowers, and mulched all the flower beds. It was quite a project. In 2 days I moved a lot of bullrock, replace it with the rocks, planted about 60 flowers, and spread 2 yards of mulch along the side and front of the house. (Last year I told myself I wouldn't spread mulch this year, well maybe next year)

Trip to the Rodeo - March 17th

Getting ready to enter the Rodeo (Kirby right below Alexa) Alexa looking forward to Mutton Bustin' Mutton Bustin' - Alexa almost all ready to go. Getting on a huge pair of sweats to protect her legs After Alexa finished! She scored a 92. A score of 75 was given if you fell off right out of the shoot, a 95 was given if you went all the way across the arena. Alexa held on and went across on the side of the sheep (:

Alexa worked hard on a farm and was able to turn in what she grew for money and a little treat!

Worms and more Worms. Alexa had an entire handful of worms and wanted to bring them home with us.
